- Flat washers
- Spread the load under a bolt head or nut and protect the surface. SAE, USS and structural sizes in many materials and finishes.
- Ogee washers
- Heavy cast iron washers with a wide bearing surface for timber construction such as docks, piers, bridges and retaining walls.
- Square washers
- A broad, square bearing surface for timber framing, channel and strut systems.
- Malleable washers
- Cast malleable iron washers for timber and heavy construction where a wide, strong bearing surface is needed.

- Split (helical spring) and tooth lock washers that add tension under the nut in assemblies that see vibration.

Materials, grades and standards
We stock low-carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, bronze and aluminum, including anodized finishes, in grade 5, grade 8, grade 9 and B7 and more. Everything we supply meets the specifications and standards of ASTM, ASME, SAE and ANSI.

Common questions
What is an ogee washer used for?
An ogee washer is a heavy cast iron washer with a wide, curved bearing surface. It spreads the load of a bolt into wood, so it's used in docks, piers, seawalls, timber bridges and other heavy timber work.
What's the difference between SAE and USS flat washers?
For the same bolt size, USS flat washers have a larger outside diameter and are thicker. SAE flat washers are smaller and are common in machinery and automotive work. Tell us the bolt size and which pattern you need.
